We have been working on a set of maps of the countries of Africa interpreted from Shuttle Radar data. This work is part of a new start up business devoted to helping companies begin successful exploration in African Countries. We call the company StartExp. Myself, Walter H. Pierce, and my partner, Everett Rutherford, are starting the enterprise. We are both Geologists. Each of the following maps is sort of a business card for this new endeavor. We hope than more than just being a crass business advertisement that each map will become a useful item. I work hard to craft each map, often tuning the maps individually, to enable the geologic interpretation. I try to emphasize in each map the features which enable the understanding of stratigraphy and structure. We will try keep a few new maps appearing on this list each month. Hopefully these maps will help us all learn more about Africa and its geology.
